One of the
finest DJ’s in the Ashanti region and beyond, and also a member of the Ghana
Music Awards Academy Mr. Bones of Kessben Fm have spoken his mind towards
Evangelist Antwi Ofori of the Antwi ne Antwi Fame come back to highlife because
he is finding it difficult to feed himself and his family
He said if the
evangelist thinks he is coming to make money in the highlife cycles now then he
is dreaming because he was lost in the scenes before he went to start with his
calling from God thing as an evangelist
Mr. Bones
insist that all their nice tracks that Ghanaians think the group did well, they
did nothing. For instance their hit track ‘SAKINA’ people should listen to it very
well. It was NACY that made that song very nice, the entire chorus was sang by
NACY. People got to know them when they departed from NACY the engineer; from
there they started to fail as a group.
According to
the Bones man the evangelist should not waste his ears. “who told Antwi Ofori
that if you are a musician and God calls you is by force to work as a gospel
musician or a singer” God can call you as a musician but God might need you to
be playing instrument in the church not to sing so there you miss the calling
if you think as God has called you, you should sing.
Mr. Bones do
not understand why every secular musician comes to follow Christ and want to do
Gospel. It should not be so. Listen to the voice of God well and he will tell
you what he want you to do for him
Why will
people buy your gospel song? He threw this question to Evangelist Antwi. Because
even in your highlife days it was NACY that helped you to make your tunes nice.
So if you sing alone what makes you think it will be a nice song for people to
buy?
Stop using
hunger and poverty to justify what you want to do. If you want to truly follow
God look at Lord Kenya and let him tell you what he is going through but he
still keep up with his faith. He said Evangelist Antwi is simply not serious
because people died for Christ and you running because of hunger.
